The first day of sales of the first book in the Shadeworld series was suffering so all my author friends told me it was time to invest in a new cover. It was a great idea, but I was scared to jump into it- I knew I had done a terrible job of illustrating my concept, but I was scared of turning to a professional artist to do it and I just wasn't sure anyone could create just the right kind of dragon I wanted to have shown. I was also scared of making the leap to invest more money into my work.
