Beetiful designed the book cover for Wake-up Call by Beverly Farr. It’s the fourth book in the Love and Chocolate series.
Michelle didn’t think she had a spontaneous bone in her body until she woke up married in Vegas.
For the past eighteen years, Michelle has played by the rules, worked hard, and taken care of everyone rather than herself. But now that her twin daughters have gone to college, she is starting to take care of herself and make new friends, including Major League Baseball pitcher Rex Lewis.
Rex is known as The Ice King on and off the field, but contrary to his chilly reputation, he seems to like her.
Then a business trip to Las Vegas brings them together in surprising ways – and her life will never be the same.
Wake-up Call is book four in the Love and Chocolate Series. Each book is a standalone romance without cliffhangers
Book One: Corporate Husband
Book Two: Marry the Doctor
Book Three: Something Sweet
Book Four: Wake-up Call
I am passionate about Romance, Quilting, God, Family, Bacon and Mr. Darcy. Not in that order.
My romances are sweet, rated G or PG. Some are similar to the romantic comedies of the 1930's and 1940's but set in modern day. Sex is acknowledged as an important part of romance, but there aren't any explicit or graphic sex scenes. I tend to have a closed door or fade-to-black policy. However, my characters do talk about sex sometimes, when the plot requires it, because - well, I think grownups in a romantic situation end up talking about it eventually.
So, if you like sweet romances with smart heroines, kind heroes and the occasional hell or damn, but no Lord's name in vain or f-bombs, welcome to my world.
Oh, and I also write Pride and Prejudice Variations (set in the Regency Era) under my pen name Jane Grix.
