Beetiful designed the book cover to Chase n;’ Heaven by Linda Hippolyte.
Neveah has her future all planned out. She has a full athletic scholarship to her University of choice and she gets to continue doing what she loves the most, running. There’s only one thing left. For the past 4 years she had her head either in books or her feet on the track and field of her high school. The problem is she hasn’t really started living yet. Aside from hanging out with her best friend Trina, her social life was severely stunted. Soon to be 18 years old and she’s barely experienced what normal teenagers experience. No parties. No hanging out. She’s never even had a boyfriend, unless making out after track practice with a fellow team mate constituted a boyfriend. She vowed this summer was going to be the start of the rest of her teenage life.
When Nevaeh wakes up to Chase standing in her family room, she’s left dumbstruck, standing there… like a doofus and staring at the finest man she’s ever laid eyes on. A six foot something chocolate Adonis. If she ever fully understood the term “be careful what you wish for” it was now?
Chase is trying to put the last 6 years behind him. Struggling to come to terms with his dark past, at just 20, he longs for a low-key, simple existence. And so, he has a simple plan. Move back to his hometown, Riverside, California, get a place to lay his head and a car to drive and work his uncles boxing gym. He dared to want or need for anything more.
Until the night he was invited over to watch boxing videos with a co-worker. Standing there before him was someone who in an instant had him questioning his plan for a simple existence. Someone that looked at him in a way no one else has ever looked at him. Looked at him in a way he never saw in himself.
Although, they both attempt to venture into the same unknown territory their view is not the same. While Nevaeh decides to throw herself out there and give in to the attraction, Chase struggles to believe that an existence, such as this, is in the cards for someone like him.
As love begins to run its course, multiple forces seem to try and pull them apart. Nevaeh knows she needs to deal with her over protective big brother but what she doesn’t know is that lurking in the shadows, is someone who has his own plans for rest of her life and Chase is definitely spoiling them.
