An Actual Alien by Dinah Pike
Beetiful designed the book cover for An Actual Alien, a middle-grade science fiction book by Dinah Pike. It’s the first book in the Actual Alien Adventures series.
Synopsis
“We don’t know if we can trust the alien at all! What if there’s an alien invasion with a sky full of UAPs or something?”
Zion stared at his brother. “I trust him. Don’t you trust me?”
Josiah and Zion are neurodivergent and highly gifted brothers. When they have to switch schools yet again, they find an actual water alien in the woods near their house. With their only new friend, Isla, they begin to communicate with the shape-shifting extraterrestrial.
As the four build connections, young Zion finds he has an uncanny understanding of the alien and names him Carl Click.
As time runs out, the adventure escalates while the kids struggle to keep secrets from their parents.
Does Carl have ulterior motives?
When things go crazy, can they save little Zion before it’s too late?
Find out in An Actual Alien, book one of the Actual Alien Adventures series.
