K.G. Wilkie is a reader and artist and can often be found wandering the woods behind my house or traveling to new places. Kay loves action movies and museums and theater. She's amazing at getting lost, walking up to and starting conversations with unsuspecting strangers, and petting dogs in just the right way which is clearly the most important skill of all. She's taken up the hobbies of embroidery, fencing, and badminton; and is absolutely terrible at all of them.

The first day of sales of the first book in the Shadeworld series was suffering so all my author friends told me it was time to invest in a new cover. It was a great idea, but I was scared to jump into it- I knew I had done a terrible job of illustrating my concept, but I was scared of turning to a professional artist to do it and I just wasn't sure anyone could create just the right kind of dragon I wanted to have shown. I was also scared of making the leap to invest more money into my work. It was also terrifying to race against the clock to put a better cover up as soon as possible so my original failure could quickly become forgotten. I found the perfect cover I had been looking for as a premade ready to go on Beetiful Book Covers and Stefanie was so helpful figuring out how to fit my long tagline onto the cover and rushing to get it done quickly for me at a very fair price. I now feel confident going forward that all the covers on this series will look amazing and give me my best chance at sales. Whenever I come out with a new series I know I will come back to Stefanie for more great covers.
